1st Series – Flight B

1st Series - Flight B "Pheasant Forever"

The terrain: The grasses were 24 to 30 inches high, with a mowed patch at the line, and the areas where the marks were to fall was rolled to flatten the grass, should the dog persevere through the tall grass to the marks. The first mark was thrown uphill from the station and the path to the bird was a slight angle downhill. The second mark was thrown right to left and down hill from the station.  The flyer was slightly uphill with the flyer targeted at the crest of the hill. The honor dog position was to the right of the working dog.

Triple around the horn from right to left. Mark #1 is thrown left to right. #2 is right to left and is a very short distance from #1. The two gun stations are against a tree line and are separated by a few feet. Similar to a mom and pop marks. Both marks land in heavy cover.

Live flyer is hidden behind a small group of small trees. High arc throw landing in heavy cover.

A look at the marks.
