5th Series – Flight A

Terrain: Line was on a large mound and the dogs have good visibility of the test. A land/water triple with an honor. Marks are thrown around the horn from left to right. This was a big marking test. The first bird is thrown across a small channel onto the other side into a corner of land. Middle mark is well hidden up against the dike-bank and throws a mark from left to right out into a large field with heavy cover. The flyer is around 120 to 140 yards up against a large stand of dark green trees. This bird is thrown from right to left out into a feed plot with low cover.

Some in the gallery dubbed this the "train station" series (Yellowstone reference).

The other factor was a stiff to strong wind all afternoon during this test. The wind helped some dogs and hampered others in finding the birds.
